INTRODUCTION TO HYPERTROPHY WEIGHT TRAINING OPTIONS

INTRODUCTION

  • Aim is to perform a high volume of intensive weight training so as to stimulate muscle growth. This type of training increases muscle mass and structural strength so to allow physiological and anatomical adaptations required for increased strength.
  • To enable a high volume of intensive training various different exercises are utilised to target the specified muscle group/s
  • Each muscle group should be trained twice a week in the development stage
  1. Simple hypertrophy programs

  2. Advanced hypertrophy programs

  3. Representative hypertrophy programs
